Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Waynetown Methodist Church for Miss Sarah E. Widener, 83, former resident of Crawfordsville who died at the home of her niece, Mrs. Clay Warren in Brazil Wednesday afternoon. Rev. FG Howard of Clermont, former pastor of the Trinity ME Church of this city, wich Miss Widener once attended will have charge of the services, with burial at Waynetown cemetery.  Miss Widener died at 4:40 o'clock Wednesday afternoon following an illness of two weeks with paralysis.

She was born Jan 13, 1852 on the old Widener homestead west of Elmdale in Montgomery County. Her parents were John and Susan Green Widener and she was the last of a family of seven children.  She was never married.  In her early life, Miss Widener taught in several schools in Montgomery County. Later, she was a clerk for many years in the Bischof and Graham stores in this city and gained a wide acquaintanceship here.

She had been living for the past ten years with her niece, Mrs. Warren one of many nieces and nephews who survive.  Miss Widener was a member of Elmdale Methodist church.

The body will remain at Brazil until it is taken to Waynetown Sunday afternoon for funeral services. - kbz
